Hand and wrist issues affect millions of Americans in every type of workplace. Whether it’s numbness, tingling, pain, or swelling, discomfort in the hands and wrists can stand in the way of so many tasks, activities, and movements. In this workshop, you will learn simple, easy-to-practice techniques and series for arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and other issues. Come discover the unique connection between our hands and our hearts, which begins before birth. Learn how to release stress and relieve strain in the upper extremities.
Allison MacLennan is certified Purna Yoga Instructor at the 2,000 Hour level as well as a board-certified orthopaedic hand surgeon. She has performed and consulted on countless surgeries as well as dealing with her own carpal tunnel issues. With her calm, caring demeanor, Allison will not only teach you invaluable series to help alleviate pain and increase mobility but will explore a variety of viewpoints on hand and wrist health, from a western medical perspective to a more holistic, yogic approach.
