In this workshop, you’ll learn:
• how to open and strengthen the parts of the body that facilitate backbending
• how the spine moves in backbends, demystify this process, and practice those movements
• how to love backbends!
Come to Backbend Biomechanics and learn to love backbends!
Backbends provide a multitude of benefits. Physically, backbends increase lung capacity, open the hips and chest, increase energy, and reverse the effects of gravity and aging in the spine. Energetically, backbends remove fears and bring us into the present moment.
In this workshop, we will focus on opening and strengthening the parts of the body that facilitate backbending. We will discuss how the spine moves in backbends, demystify this process, and practice those movements. Take this opportunity to learn more about the “how” of backbends so you can get to the “why” of this type of pose.
Join Hannah to gain new awareness about our bodies in backbends as we practice her favorite group of poses.
This workshop is a fund-drive for Hannah’s Purna Yoga College Scholarship Fund with 100% of the profits going to support Hannah on her journey of pursuing her 500-Hour training in Bellevue, WA.
