Roll & Release is a down-regulating, self-massage, self-myofascial release class. What makes Roll & Release different from other restorative practices? Roll & Release uses Yoga Tune-up balls for targeted muscle work, while restorative yoga is a passive practice of deep relaxation using props to support the body completely. Yoga Tune Up is a form of corrective exercise that uses the balls to pinpoint and release tension that we carry in the body (sometimes without even realizing it!), while restorative yoga focuses on eliciting a deep relaxation response by eliminating any physical sensation of effort or discomfort.
We’ll take a different focus each month in 2026.
In August, we turn our attention to the shoulders and rotator cuff. The upper body is far more complex than it’s often given credit for. Shoulders are incredibly mobile — and since we don’t walk on our hands, they can tolerate a bit more wear than our feet, knees, and hips do. Still, the shoulder girdle bears real weight: it helps support the head, carry our loads, and perform the countless movements that come with everyday life. In this session, we’ll work to rebalance and strengthen the rotator cuff, helping keep your shoulders stable within their full range of mobility.
Unwind, release, and reinforce your practice with this monthly touchpoint.
Regina has been practicing yoga since 1999 and teaching since 2011. She aims to create a supportive and safe environment for all students, so that each may honor their own body during practice.
This is an in-person class and is limited to 18 participants.
