Learn the basics of Heartfull Meditation and begin 2024 cultivating a consistent meditation practice. The simple techniques of Heartfull Meditation take only a few minutes to practice while keeping you centered, focused, and connected to your spirit throughout your day.
Meditation is ubiquitous in today’s world, and yet, starting a meditation practice can still be challenging. The benefits of meditation are well-documented at this point: decrease in blood pressure, improvements to working memory, aids in managing stress, mitigating anxiety, lessening depression, and the promotion of creativity. Meditation increases relationship satisfaction and increases our ability to feel compassion. We’ve got all kinds of good reasons to start meditating, not to mention a million apps to guide us, but that doesn’t mean we won’t experience obstacles in cultivating a consistent meditation practice.
If you’ve wanted to start meditating but find it intimidating – even frustrating – this workshop presents a different style of meditation that might make it more accessible. Whitney and Letitia will introduce you to the basic techniques of Heartfull® Meditation as created by Savitri, one of Purna Yoga’s co-founders. These simple, practical techniques incorporate hand movements, breath, visualization, and connecting to beautiful feelings to foster inner connection and clarity throughout the day. Each technique takes only a few minutes to practice and can be done anywhere to find a sense of reconnection to peace and purpose.
In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn the 5 basic techniques of Heartfull Meditation, have an opportunity to practice them in guided meditations, and also receive 4 short recorded meditations that you can use to practice the techniques on a daily basis for 30 days. Letitia’s clear instructions and Whitney’s melodious voice and imagistic language help you refine the techniques and use them to go deeper than just mindfulness. Learn how to do more than just quiet the mind or still your thoughts. Instead, learn how to recharge by connecting to the light of your spirit anytime, anywhere.
I've practiced Heartfull Meditation since 2008 and find the benefits of this style of meditation to be never-ending. Heartfull Meditation helps me to focus my mind, improving my concentration and decreasing distraction. These techniques help me stay connected to feelings of gratitude, which facilitates ease and minimizes irritability as I move through my day. I sleep better, connect with others more authentically, and stay calmer in stressful situations thanks to these techniques. – Letitia
