We are living in a time that prizes reaching, accumulating, and the next thing. It is a culture that rarely pauses long enough to receive what has already ripened. Many of us know the feeling of giving until we are depleted, of moving so quickly that nourishment passes through us without ever landing. Late summer, the season of harvest and fullness, can be lost entirely in this pace, its invitation to slow down and be fed going unanswered.

Moving Inward Together is a seasonally inspired restorative yoga and acupuncture experience led by Letitia Walker and Jodi Lefkowitz, L.Ac. This offering is rooted in the understanding that healing is not only personal, but relational. States of regulation can unfold more fully when we slow down in the presence of others who are doing the same.

Letitia will guide a gentle, fully supported restorative practice designed to help the body settle without strain. The shapes are simple and spacious, inviting inward attention and ease. In select moments of stillness, Jodi will offer acupuncture or acupressure using three thoughtfully chosen points to support centering, nourishment, and the capacity to receive, settling us into the ripeness of the season. Essential oils will be available as an optional addition for those who find scent supportive.

Moving Inward Together is an invitation to rest deeply, to be supported, and to experience what becomes possible when inward attention is held in community. – Jodi Lefkowitz, L.Ac

In Chinese medicine, late summer belongs to the Earth element, the still center around which the seasons turn. It is a time of harvest and fruition, a pause held between the outward reach of summer and the inward turn of autumn. Earth’s medicine is nourishment: the ability to be fed, to digest and integrate our experience, to come home to center and rest in enough. The acupuncture points used in this offering are selected to support that homecoming. They are chosen not to still the sweetness of the season, but to help the body soften into receiving, so that what has ripened this year has room to be gathered in.

Rather than following a single prescribed experience, this offering centers choice and attunement. You are invited to choose your own restful journey through posture and treatment, meeting the practice in a way that feels supportive and appropriate for you. There is no expectation to participate in every element in order to benefit from the whole.

Moving Inward Together is an invitation to come to center as summer ripens toward autumn. It is a chance to be nourished, to rest in fullness, and to experience what becomes possible when the work of receiving is held in community.
