Celebrate PY828’s 5th Anniversary with this special online experience
Live attendance not necessary • access to recording until Jan. 1, 2023

Set an intention for the upcoming year and plant the seed for growth and change during this extended, guided Shavasana.

  • Take a serious break from the holiday hustle and bustle and connect with your deepest self
  • Set a sankalpa (intention) to facilitate change, growth, and shift in your life
  • Be guided into a deep Shavasana and learn how to communicate with the unconscious mind

Yoga Nidra is truly a magical experience. And that experience is varied depending on the style of Nidra you practice. For some, Yoga Nidra is simply a longer Shavasana. For others, Yoga Nidra involves a long Shavasana and a guided meditation with the intention to expand consciousness.

In Purna Yoga, our style of Yoga Nidra involves setting a sankalpa (an intention) around some kind of change, shift or growth, distilling the essence of that intention into a feeling, and then planting the seed of that shift in our subconscious. In this way, it is a method of communicating with the subconscious, opening the doorway to deeper intuition, and experiencing the five koshas (sheaths) of the body as one drops into a deep state of relaxation and pratyahara (sense withdrawal).

Join Letitia on December 16th as she guides you through Purna Yoga Nidra, using the method and techniques of this practice as taught by Aadil Palkhivala, the co-founder of Purna Yoga. This year, we’ll be practicing together online. You can even be comfy and cozy in your own bed! And if you can’t make the livestream, you’ll have the recording through January 1st to enjoy over and over again.

We will spend the first 30 minutes discussing the hows and whys of the Nidra, refining our sankalpa, and getting settled in position. Then, we will have a full 90 minutes to settle in, drop the body, and set our intentions before coming out slowly, carefully, almost reluctantly to join what will feel like a whole new world.

Join us in celebrating our fifth anniversary for what has become an annual tradition at Purna Yoga 828!

Suggested for students with at least one year of asana experience.
